SOUTHEAST ALASKA
BURNING MAN

Southeast Alaska Burning Man 2002

It was a miracle Southeast Alaska Burning Man 2002 was able to happen. Just forty-eight hours before making it to the beach the webmaster was designing a page explaining why seakburningman didn’t happen, what a weak, doubting-Thomas, faithless participant he is. He was even whimpering on the boat that the seas were to rough (the rest of the crew would have been scared too, except they were asleep) but there was no turning around the Skipper. The Skip had just one thing on his mind, “We make it to the beach, burn the man, or we drown trying.” That’s the kind of toughness (pigheadedness) it takes to make seakburningman happen. We have a lot of pictures this year because there was a lot going on, next year we expect to have even more going on.

As usual photo credit in 2002 goes to Shelley Stallings © and Carolyn Stallings ©, this year we also give credit to Jeanne Young© her pics have the time and date stamp.
